This summer Travis wrestled (under the club LAW) in the Freestyle/Greco Asics Kids Nationals held in Atlanta,GA. During the Greco Sessions he lost in the finals, and had to wrestle for true second. Travis battled through and came out with a win for second place in Greco!

In the Freestyle session, Travis lost during the second round to the same kid he wrestled in the Greco finals. That did not stop him though. He continued to battle and fought his way back winning the remainder of his matches, including his true second match!

Overall Travis placed 2nd in the Novice 78lb Freestyle & Greco Asics Kids Nationals!

We are very proud of Travis and his hard work and determination to be the best. This is a great example of the importance of all wrestlers learning all styles of wrestling, to be the best athlete they can be. Travis will do great things this upcoming year for our Junior High team.

In the Spring of 2019, the Penn Manor Wrestling Club will be holding Freestyle & Greco training sessions. Travis’s success is a great example on why young wrestlers should learn these styles! Be sure to plan to get your wrestlers in the room this Spring!
